AGC control:

Automatic thickness control system is composed of thickness gauge, electric control cabinet, the actuator to rectify thickness deviation. The thickness gauge continuously measure the strip thickness, one side display and record the thickness deviation, the other side input thickness deviation signal to electric control. The control cabinet deal with the thickness difference signal, give command to actuator to rectify the thickness, the actuator adjusts the press-down of mill to change roller gap by motor or hydraulic cylinders, or adjust recoiling tension by changing recoiler armature current, thus the strip thickness is rectified. The spring equation and elastic elongation curve to realize thickness control.

Control modes of AGC:

  1. Each side gap control: to control gap of each side roller, for making roller and each AGC hydraulic cylinder commissioning
  2. Each side rolling force control: to control each side rolling force to mark roller.
  3. Average gap control: to control average gap for position model rolling.
  4. Inclination control: to control the gap inclination of two sides, to adjust sheet flatness and deviation.
  5. Total rolling force control: to control total rolling force in rolling force model.
  6. In effective gap control mode, the gap inclination controller is activated to ensure gap of two sides the same, in effective rolling force control mode the rolling force difference controller is activated to ensure rolling force of two sides the same. The average gap control is default control mode to realize the non-impact switch between different models by setting present value and ramp following.
